Henna Powder from Sholly Ayurveda is made from pure, dried, and ground Lawsonia inermis leaves without any chemical additives or artificial colorants. Henna has been used for millennia across South Asia and the Middle East as a natural hair dye, conditioner, and scalp treatment. Its natural tannins and lawsone content bond with the hair protein (keratin), imparting a beautiful reddish-brown color while simultaneously conditioning and strengthening the hair shaft from within.

Beyond hair coloring, Henna has potent antimicrobial and antifungal properties that help combat dandruff, scalp infections, and hair fall. Regular henna treatments cool the scalp, reduce hair breakage, and improve overall hair texture, making it thick, shiny, and manageable. On the skin, henna is traditionally used for intricate body art (Mehndi) and its cooling properties make it ideal for soothing skin irritation and rashes. It is one of the few completely natural alternatives to chemical hair dyes.

Suitable for all hair types and adults of all ages. Safe for regular use.

100% pure Lawsonia inermis (Henna) leaf powder, no chemicals or additives.

Mix with warm water to a smooth paste. Apply from roots to tips, leave for 1–2 hours, and wash off with water only (no shampoo for best color).

1. Will Henna work on chemically treated or coloured hair?
Yes, Henna can be applied to chemically treated hair. However, results may vary — previously bleached or lightened hair may absorb more colour and turn a deeper or brighter shade of red. We recommend doing a strand test before full application.

2. Can I use Henna as a complete replacement for chemical hair dye?
Absolutely. Henna is one of the few entirely natural alternatives to chemical hair dyes. It bonds with the keratin in your hair shaft to deliver a rich reddish-brown colour while simultaneously conditioning and strengthening each strand — no harsh chemicals involved.

3. How often can I apply Henna to my hair?
Henna is safe for regular use. Most people apply it once every 3–4 weeks for consistent colour and conditioning benefits. Unlike chemical dyes, frequent use will not damage your hair — in fact, regular treatments improve texture, shine, and scalp health over time.

4. Does Henna help with dandruff and hair fall?
Yes. Henna has natural antimicrobial and antifungal properties that help combat dandruff and scalp infections. Its cooling effect soothes the scalp, reduces hair breakage, and helps control hair fall with consistent use.

5. Can Henna be used on skin for body art (Mehndi)?
Yes. Sholly Ayurveda Henna Powder is 100% pure and free from chemicals, making it safe for traditional Mehndi body art. Its cooling properties also make it ideal for soothing mild skin irritation and rashes when applied topically.
